"Fragmented Chaos" by Demet Dincer
“I say unto you: one must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. I say unto you: you still have chaos in yourselves." Friedrich Nietzsche
The complex nature of cities forms a fragmented existence, portrayed as a chaotic structure in the drawing. When this unpredictable scenery of a city has been challenged with the pandemic conditions, urban residents have become more aware of their vital needs. The living environment responded to these needs in its own fragmented way; where the backyards, balconies, alleyways become hosts for human interactions while -mostly-respecting physical distancing. The pandemic has prompted a shift in the use of indoor-outdoor spaces, trending a more humane environment, hopefully, to "give birth to a dancing star".
