"Memories of Home" by Sutanuka Jashu
Drawing based on domestic spaces in my grandparent's house that embodies personal and family oriented priorities.
For every home there are different activities, efficiency etc. This is determined by the tradition but also ethical and moral values of the house.
Most of my childhood, we lived in my grand parent's house. My drawing revolves around those incomplete memories i recall
and try to describe as a poetic representation. As a child i used to think its an infinite house ,kept me hungry with the "mysteries" of the building that remained unexplored. Beyond the house was a world of its own, as i never travelled alone outside, i thought of the house to be like an island surrounded by the pond that i used to see from the roof. This home made the grounds to have my own little imaginary world of stories and spaces born from curiosity.
