In a Post-Modernist Patio
It’s a dream about some things I saw in the library when I started College, when I was completely obsessed to find the correct images. Most of them were old fashioned, so were the books I read. It became a necessity for geometry, for answers, some lines to draw in my first projects.
And then there I was, in a Post-Modernist Patio. The Mayans were there, everything seemed to be suspended, the time certainly was. There was only a cardboard woman. I started walking through the pond, passing by the dissected copper sphere, the Parthenon in the sky, an Stereolab song in the background. I just wanted to know if there was something else after that door…
I remember fondly that vision, it reminds me that imagination is part of our creative process, however, “no man builds in a void”.
