Ducatail

Inspired from the meticulous details of the automobile industry, a vertical urban landscape is proposed in Miami Design District. Adopting various methods of connection between the larger surface components of the shell and the contrasting finer details of the interior components was achieved through cradling, nesting and revealing of certain elements. Spaces within the poche of the surfaces and the interiority of the components; as well as the residual between the two, define the occupiable experiences within the defined formal language and function as skate park, community kitchen, auditorium, observation deck, etc. The bespoke details aim to embody a certain precision in the connection between the surfaces through delineated seams or reveals.
