Node City

Inspired by neural networks and biological growth, Node City envisions an urban future comprised of stilted skyscrapers connected by ever-evolving webs of programmable bridges. It challenges the current means of urbanization by proposing structures with minimal and strategic interventions at the ground plane instead of leveling natural ecosystems to make way for sprawling swaths of concrete city blocks.

The image portrays 3 megastructures rising above an Amazonian forestscape with a public housing tower in the background, an entertainment district in the midground, and a cultural hub in the foreground. Instead of focusing on any discernible form or style, the architecture explores connections as a vascular system for the public sphere of the city. By freeing buildings and people from the ground plane, nature can still exist mostly untouched, providing a vision of a symbiotic relationship with nature rather than a destructive approach for human habitation.
