Morphology of an Eye

eMODERN is my architectural style, including an x, y, skew and curve. The projects design originated from the morphology of the human eye. Initially was intended to develop a structure in which light could be studied for human advancement. Its since morphed into a place of contemplation. The site would be located on the ocean in Florida. More than 90% of the structure is under the ground. A visitor parks on the west side of A1A and walks underneath the road in order to get to the beach and view the ocean. The sun, ocean and use of concrete, wood and metal allow different experiences for the 5 senses. The sun comes in thru an opening at the top which allows light to penetrate the space, continually altering the feeling of the space due to the movement and angle of the sun as well as the tides of the ocean.
