Vertical Cloud

Vertical Cloud is a futuristic Pavilion proposed on shadowless college campuses. I wanted to create a shadow space through a cloud as a transformative status, not through shadows by trees and buildings that already existing.

Through the projection of the Elevation, the shape of the cloud was formed and the bounding box was determined through the pixelation of the Plan. To express the light nature of clouds, a fabric balloon with rounded corners was fixed to the ground through wires. The wire is not fixed and can be adjusted in length to reduce or increase the height of the balloons. This shows a different picture from time to time.

This drawing shows at once the potential for changing its elevation, from the flat top of a pixelated cloud to the arrangement of various resting areas according to the size of a balloon.
