Lumina

This bathhouse is set within the walls of the old tobacco warehouse also adjacent to St. Ann's Warehouse, who hosts temporary sets and spaces for artists to display their work in Dumbo (Brooklyn, New York). The entrance to the bathhouse is shared with St. Ann's which gives a sense of connection with the surroundings, but I also wanted it to be a place within the city people could get away from without ever leaving. The light being brought in through the ceiling divides each pool, ranging from hot to warm to cold, and the perforations bring in natural light without exposing what's outside, hence the name Lumina.
