In this project the inhabitant is given responsibility in the materialisation of the design. A design approach in which one is able to adjust the space, use and atmosphere of his dwelling. One can also personalise the appearance and form of the facade and therefore engage in the public character of the neighbourhood and building.
The concrete forms a structural base of opportunities, but also a strict physical border and rhythm in which the personal interventions will flourish, without become messy or unsafe.
The designed part of the building is illustrated with digital lines, where an interpretation of possible user involvement is drawn by hand. Hereby is the most important part of the building, the personal interventions of the inhabitants, playing leading role in the drawing by contrasting the clean and minimal elaboration of the digital drawing. Furthermore, the hand drawing emphasises the informal character of the user adjustments.
