La ciudad y el lago.

My drawing is made with autocad 2d and photoshop. It was my intention to reflect the surface of Mexico City that emerged in the water. Reflect how cities grow in layers of civilizations and the old is encapsulated by the new to be revered, studied and mimicked by the new generations. My drawing is a perspective section, of the zocalo of Mexico City and the national palace, looking north, you can see the Metropolitan Cathedral, and to the right the already non-existent major temple rising up, where the Mexican-Aztec Civilization emerged. Far away is the Tlatelolco Zone which is also an area full of cultural mimicry based on the ancient Tlatelolca empire and Mexican modernism, at the bottom of the image is the hill of Chiquihuite. In my drawing the city is done in autocad 2d and the lake in photoshop. simulating the city emerging from a plate with water.
