This sketch depicts a tectonic rift that occurs near a medieval farm house. The rift occurs in a literal sense of course, but also in an aesthetic sense. Beneath the ground the collective memory and the Geist is revealed and must be grappled with. In times of rapid change, we are confronted with our predispositions and beliefs that we must recognize and ponder. The sketch is a call for collective recognition and a moment of meditation. The lattice underneath holds all possible moments and circumstances in time, mediated and driven by the Sublime.
