"Toward A "Rat Race" Architecture" by Cam Nguyen 
  

Inspired by the animation "Happiness" by Steve Cutts, the drawing depicts a future dystopia where the society strives for a pointless pursuit of happiness. The robot represents the upper hand force of whom controls and provides, or it maybe the advanced technology goals people want to achieve. The cubicle structures are the mean to help realize the goals, or maybe it is just a liability that traps the owner in its invented purpose. The board shows the rating and top scorer of the system, those who live in higher cubes.
In the real world, the "Rat Race" reflects a bitter truth of non-self driven competition. On one hand, some try their best to get a better position in the competition with a very high cost. On the other hand, some successfully achieve milestones in their careers, but do not see their entire image in the frame.
