What if the EPA never banned CFC production in the USA? Or the Montreal Protocol was never signed as a global initiative to protect the ozone layer? What if, the science simply wasn't there to make these initiatives happen or even worse, the science was there all along but we chose to ignore it. Imagine a world where the sun's rays were so severe that it was actually unsafe to be exposed to it for any period of time. What would the architecture begin to look like as we adapt to living in this shade?' Living in the Shadows' is a glimpse of a future where life has receded to living in simpler times. Within this ever changing landscape that adapts throughout the day to follow the shadows, the people become more connected to nature as their daily routine is literally driven by the movements of the Sun.
